56 (5th and 6th Grade)

At The Creek we want to make the most of every chance we get to help the next generation develop a faith that is all their own. We know that the transition from elementary to middle school is a big change, marked with new questions, challenges, and opportunities. That's why we created 56, our environment for 5th and 6th grade students. Serving in 56 means you get to support these students as they make big life changes and model the love of Jesus for them.

Group Host

Hosting a group doesn’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming, and it isn’t about being perfect. It’s about serving others by giving them a place to share life and be known. We want groups to be less about passing along information and more about relational investment. A group host's goal is to create a space for people to be known, loved and cared for, and to help them move towards their next steps.

Group Leaders

Group leaders are a big part of what makes our church a success: they help provide care, encouragement, and spiritual growth to our members in a way that's just not possible on a Sunday morning. Group leaders need not be perfect themselves or have expansive Bible knowledge. They simply need to be able to encourage others and facilitate group meetings each week.

Jail Ministry

Changing the world starts with changing where we are. There are so many ways to do that at The Creek, but one of the lesser-known ways is by being a part of the Jail Ministry Team. Every week this team brings hope and encouragement in the form of Bible studies and small groups into the Laurel County Detention Center.

KidsCreek (1st - 5th grade)

When you say yes to serving in KidsCreek, you are agreeing to big messes, discussing who would win in a fight between the Hulk and Superman, and modeling how to have a relationship with Jesus. The kids you serve in this environment will take these lessons with them for the rest of their lives, so we like to say that we are shaping the past of a future generation.

KidsCreek (Birth - Kindergarten)

Learning about God’s love starts at birth. When you hold an infant, encourage a toddler, or are silly with a preschooler, you are communicating that God loves them, supports them, and wants to have fun with them. Serving in KidsCreek means teaching children that Jesus wants to be their friend forever, and that is the greatest thing any child could ever learn!
